Aamni kozhakatai

A good tea time snack recipe it's my all time favorite recipe ...












Recipe for Aamni kozhakatai :

Ingredient:
For dough
Rice flour -2 cups
Salt to taste
Water to mix
Oil 2 tbs

Tempering:
Oil 1 tbs
Mustard seeds 1 tbs
Urad daal 1 tbs
Curry leaves
Hing
Coconut grated 2 tbs ( optional)
Idly podi 2 tbs or to taste.
Method:

In a bowl take a rice flour salt mix with water as like wheat r rawa dosa consistency must be watery . Che the salt.. In a  pan add oil and pour the flour mixture and mix well for 10 mins or until the mixture form as a thick dough . Not to stick with hand . This is the consistency
Keep aside until to room temperature.  Apply some oil on hands take a small quantity dough in hands and make as a small roundles  and finish all the dough.  In a idly steamer stem the roundles for 15 mins.  Keep aside.  In a pan add oil followed by mustard seeds urad daal curry leaves until fry .. now add the steamed kozhakatai and mix well keep it in medium flame fry until golden brown.  Now add idly powder mix up to the spice ( idly powder recipe already updated). Mix well fried until crispy add some more oil if needed.  

And now Aamni kozhakatai ready to be served with hot cup of Tea/Coffee.
